Mark Morris, LCSW, offers tools that bring relief from pain, increased self-knowledge, and appreciation of life.
As a cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT), Mark specializes in depression, anxiety, adjustment, anger, grief, maintaining sobriety, relationships, and struggles with money. Mark conducts individual, couples, and group therapies.
Mark is the first Louisiana Diplomate certified in CBT by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, which endorses “expert clinicians” using “exacting and rigorous standards.”
Mark also offers EMDR trauma treatment, common sense and spiritual support. He has been certified by the NASW as an ACSW and QCSW. Mark has developed a technology that may be used to free oneself from anger and fear by choosing mental clarity and loving connection at any moment called Living Yes.
Mark's office is situated on vibrant Maple Street in uptown New Orleans, four blocks from the river bend (where Carrollton meets St. Charles). Due to their quick and effective results, Mark focuses his practice on CBT for emotional regulation, EMDR to relieve past trauma, and Mindfulness Meditation for connection to self and Spirit. Mark utilizes a structured approach and, at the same time, is adaptable and practical, catering to your specific needs.

Mark leads a regular Thursday evening mindfulness meditation (open to all, by donation).
Mark accepts referrals from providers for an 8 week, 16 hour, CBT class. Please ask your doctor or primary mental health care provider for a referral.
